The Role
Enjoyed it thoroughly and was a great experience.
The team were incredibly welcoming from the very beginning, immediately making me feel part of the team.
Good support once I began to get to know everyone better, at the beginning I did feel a bit lost.
Fairly busy- I was also given a lot of freedom to schedule own days which was good.
I was given a lot of responsibility in terms of how to structure my days and what I wanted to get out of the placement which was great.
Really really valuable experience with skills which will help me for life.
The Company
Fun and relaxed environment. In the office itself was fairly quiet yet in other places with the team was always fun.
Averagely organised. The beginning steps such as getting informed of what we needed to do before we started and our start and end dates were badly organised and we weren't given any information until very late. I was also placed in the wrong area to I was living so had to be changed twice as they had got my location wrong.
Quite a good amount. We were all given a full two day induction briefing us on what was to be expected and had regular conference calls and meetings throughout the seven week placement.
I would love to be given the opportunity to work with them again and would be incredibly lucky if this were to happen.
The Culture
There were many intern events organised in order to catch up with each other, and alongside these we were also invited to other social events with the bank as a whole- not just those specifically for interns.
London is fairly expensive so I have rated it half way as although it's expensive in some areas there are definitely good places to chill and hang out.
Due to working in Oxford Central I never went out in this area specifically but I live in South East and it is great there.
Yes plenty and if not we would organise them ourselves.
