The Role
The work was interesting and challenging.
A very friendly group of people who are eager to get to know you and socialise.
People on all levels were willing to help and give advice.
I was kept busy most days and if there was ever a time I was without work people would try and find me interesting jobs to do.
I was especially pleased with my level of responsibility that I was given as, right from the beginning, I was doing work for clients but I always knew that my work would be checked and so I did not have to panic about getting it perfect first time.
As this is the line of work that I hope to go into following university, it will be very useful for later life. I feel that it will help me with my studies as well as I have become better at managing my time when I have numerous jobs needing done.
The Company
It can be quiet when everyone is working which helped with my concentration but people were to have a laugh and joke around.
The company was very well prepared for the interns. Work had been set aside in anticipation of our arrival so that, following the induction days, we could get straight into it.
We were given formal training for some of the basic programmes that are used within the office. My colleagues were also more than willing to talk me through a programme if I had never used it before.
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Company Parties/Events
Healthcare/Dental
This would be a great place to work long term and there are lots of graduate places available.
The Culture
There were many organised social events while I was there and my colleagues actively encouraged the interns to attend and socialise.
It was quite expensive but, during the organised social events, the interns were not expected to pay for drinks or food.
It was good fun and there was quite a few options.
There were quite a few sports teams who encouraged the interns to attend their practices.
