    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • I enjoyed this insight quite a lot. However, on occasions there was not that much to and found myself making the teas and coffees.

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • I got on well with my colleagues but given that I was only there for a week didn't make any lasting friends.

    3/5

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • Given my young age, I was given a lot of guidance. My mentor set me short tasks to mainly keep me busy.

    4/5

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • This didn't really help me technically but it was my first experience of an office. This gave me a valuable insight into an office.

    2/5

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • The structure was not well laid out at all. Day to day they were trying to find things to do. But to be honest, that's all that I expected from work experience.

    2/5

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • The atmosphere was a little dull. The office was not very full and there wasn't much going on. The people were very friendly.

    2/5

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • I was only there for 1 week so I did not them expect to invest any training in me. I was right, which is fine.

    1/5

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • It did show me what it might be like at this firm. I got to observe the other employees working and what their day comprised of.

    4/5

  • 9. How much did the insight help you in understanding the company culture?
  • I wish given a list of the company core values to read through. This gave me a brief overview of the company culture.

    3/5

  • 10. How valuable was the content in helping you to decide on your future career path?
  • 2/5

    Everything Else

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?
  • I lived near the placement so I did not need any expenses. I didn't mind doing one week unpaid. Any more and I would have wanted some reimbursement.

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?
  • I was in a relatively small office with little contact to the other parts of the company. This meant that there was little opportunity to network.

    1/5

  • 13. How were the networking/ social event opportunities?
  • There were none.

    0/5

  • 14. Did you find out about activities that employees can get involved in outside of work?
  • I was only there for one week so I would not expect activities outside of work. I was given a tour of some building sites that was useful.

    1/5

  • 15. Would you recommend this insight to a friend?
  • If you are interested in this company then I would recommend it. However, if you had no interest, this would be incredibly boring.

    3/5
