About You
The people were incredibly welcoming, and we had some fun tasks to do, although there wasn't much legal work to do.
We were given some genuine work, but we weren't always needed (so we had a project to work on in our spare time)
Trainees were available to talk to and I was assigned a supervisor who was incredibly helpful.
I learnt a lot about the corporate world in particular which will be helpful both with my studies and in future interviews.
The Company
There was a schedule for every day - we had numerous talks (mainly on case studies and sectors of the firm) but there was also free time available.
Everyone was really friendly, and there was a good amount of social events (4 in total over the 2 weeks)
We were encouraged to ask things about life at the firm, and everyone was willing to share their legal experiences, but there wasn't much actual training.
Trainees were particularly candid about life at the firm - it felt very genuine, and the work we were given was work akin to a trainee's work.
Again, the trainees were particularly helpful here, and working at the firm itself was helpful in finding out about it.
The work we were given was very similar to a trainee's work, and we were given informative talks about the different areas of the firm - all of this was key in helping me to decide my future career path.
Everything Else
The money was enough to cover my expenses (for staying in London for 2 weeks) but that was about it.
We had drinks events and also dinners in which we could meet other employees.
We had 4 events in total, all of which were both fun and helpful, but an event at the very end of the scheme would have been nice.
Mainly from trainees.
Yes, definitely - it was an enjoyable and informative experience.
