The Role
I found my internship a thoroughly enjoyable experience. It has allowed me to develop my skills, build a network of contact and experience the London insurance market!
Everyone was extremely welcoming - from HR to senior management most people made an effort to ensure that interns felt welcome.
I found the management structure in my immediate team a little confusing/disorganised however, I'm sure this is fairly localised.
Yes - I was always provided with valuable tasks to carry out. There were no dull moments!
I was given a wide range of responsibilities including: face to face client interaction and broking responsibilities.
I have already graduated, but I am sure the skills I have developed will assist me in my future career!
The Company
The office had the right balance of hard work and colleague interaction. It was supportive team atmosphere.
Very well organised - I had a good idea of what I'd be doing when as well as the overall aims and objectives.
I felt the company invested a great deal in interns. We were given a training day with a leading insurance trainer as well as team development days at the beginning of the internship!
Company Parties/Events
I hope to get a job with Aon
The Culture
Everyone got on really well.
London is fairly expensive, as one would expect.
The city has a large variety of bars, clubs and restaurants.
Lots of team drinks and lunches,
