About You
Although there were of course some lulls, the work and social schedule comprised to make a very enjoyable and rounded scheme.
The whole experience was very inclusive, with the trainees particularly keen to get to know us, integrating us into a collegiate atmosphere that was very apparent.
A very comprehensive induction was followed by a self-dictated level of support, affording both independence and guidance.
As a non-law student I was encouraged to learn a lot and challenge myself in legal tasks. These experiences will help on the GDL.
The Company
Having undertaken shorter schemes before, three weeks was a vast improvement.
Great atmosphere, the whole company was very welcoming.
A detailed induction attempted to make us familiar with any resources we might need to use during our work.
I feel confident that I have been given an honest yet encouraging picture of life at the firm.
The close relationship between vac-schemers and trainees enabled an honest exploration of such realities.
Everything Else
In addition, the many social functions reflected a wider investment in our experience than the weekly salary might suggest.
Specific lunches and evenings were laid on for us to interact with partners, associates and trainees who may not have met in our seats.
The trainees made sure we had a good time, and lots of social events were arranged to help us interact with them. Of note was a day trip to Paris.
It was a great experience which would give a clear and compelling view of the firm.
