The Role
I felt like the other employees helped with anything I needed and they wanted me to get the best out of my year working.
They were there on a working level and a friendly level.
My manager did his absolute best to teach me everything he could and helped me whenever I needed even with him travelling a lot.
Like any job some days are a lot busier than others, there is always something to do.
I feel my degree is a lot different to working, The stuff you are taught at university doesn't prepare you. Learning out of a text book is totally different to being in a working environment when you learn something new every day. I believe working puts you in a different mind set and will help with my final year in organizing, preparing to meet deadlines.
The Company
I enjoyed my office because I had friends in the office, if you make an effort to make friends the office is going to be far more enjoyable I think its down to personal experience.
I was the first intern my team had ever had so I don't think they knew what to expect, in a way I'm glad because this meant they treated me more as a valuable member of the team and I had more responsibilities. HR were there when ever you needed them and we were also given a Mentor.
Samsung I felt wanted me to gain as much as I possibly could, they help us by us helping them.
Flexi Time

Staff Sales/Staff Shop
I would definitely go back to Samsung I think they've been a great company to work for.
The Culture
Yes I was lucky I got on so well with some of the other interns we go on nights out, we go for dinner. It was a really good group.
I chose to live in central London, the downside the commute to work is very long 1.5hours both ways (driving) which is expensive petrol and the rent is very high, But this was totally my choice. The upside of living in London is the social aspect and the interns would stay at my apartment and go on nights out.
Chertsey nightlife is not great.
I personally only went to the gym, but there are football clubs at Samsung where you play other companies etc.
