The Role
Great support and encouragement, good balance of teaching and individual tasks, amazing group of people - thoroughly enjoyed it!
Nervous to begin with but after a couple of weeks felt like one of the team and a valued employee.
Fantastic support, one on one tutoring and always there to help with any issues or problems.
Generally had a good work load; at times I felt I lacked something to do but generally these were times such as waiting to be trained in order to complete next part of task.
Just the right amount for an intern. I was challenged but not so much that it caused me to worry.
The placement really made it clear that this is the direction that I wish to go in; something which I had never been sure of before. It also provided me with some basic knowledge which should prove very useful when applying for the graduate scheme and hopefully eventually if I gain a full time job with the company.
The Company
Always a happy and up-beat atmosphere - able to have the occassional light conversation and ask for help whilst still getting the work done.
The internship was set up very well - the only criticism which I could make would be that occassionally someone would cancel at their alloted time slot and there was no fall-back activity.
I feel that I received the maximum amount of training and development in the given time.
Flexi Time
Company Parties/Events
Managed to obtain a second internship next year and will apply for the Graduate Scheme - hopefully obtaining a place.
The Culture
The Summer Party was a great social event and a lot of fun. Apart from this however there wasn't much of a social scene but this didn't really effect my placement as got on very well with everyone in the office and mostly too tired to go out anyway!
I lived at home and commuted.
Quite a lot going on.
Not really.
