The Role
It was really enjoyable
Despite being incredibly busy people, all my colleagues were really kind and offered to help whenever I needed it
My manager was very supportive
I was incredibly busy and had to respond to work very quickly, however this was great in terms of my development
I was given full responsibility for the recruitment of over 50 people. It was great,
I developed numerous skills that will be invaluable to me in the future
The Company
It was a serious environment as I worked alongside very senior people
Very well organised, they have been looking after large numbers of placement students for years at GSK
There wasn't too much personal development. I attended a leadership course, however most development was learnt on-the-job
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
National Travel
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Working from home
We have the opportunity to be fast-tracked to assessment centre for the Graduate scheme. I have also met a large amount of contacts that should increase my chances of getting a job at GSK in the future.
The Culture
Hundreds of placement students meant there was a great social scene
London isn't as bad as everyone makes out as long as you know where to go!
Endless bars and clubs in London
You could take part in charity events
