The Role
The induction was really interesting, and the work I've done since has been challenging and enjoyable.
I was set work that needed to be completed so it was good to feel responsible.
Support was given by managers whenever you asked
Some days weren't too busy but I think that was due to the summer being less busy in general
I would have to complete workpapers that would be reviewed by partners.
It was definitely worthwhie, you learn to work in business environments which is a great asset.
The Company
Very friendly, most people were fairly busy but its easy to talk to people if you need to.
Most of it was really well organised, however sometimes you felt like you didn't know who to talk to if you needed to find something else, if you send out a few emails though you will usually get what you need.
The induction covered some basic training but that was about it, you just had to learn as you go.
Subsidised Canteen
I would enjoy working with KPMG on a longterm basis for sure.
The Culture
The interns socialised a couple times, going for drinks and meals. I was on client sites most of the time but we always ate togethre in the hotel.
I commuted from home if I was in the office and if I was on away jobs everything was paid for so I spent very little.
Nightlife in Leeds is really good, whatever you want to do there is always choice.
Not many opportunities as I was busy working, the hours are quite long on away jobs.
