The Role
The work was interesting and challenging and I met lots of good people.
My colleagues were very friendly and supportive and I enjoyed working and socialising with them.
Although I felt like I was thrown in the deep end at the start my colleagues always made time to help and support me.
I always had work to complete and I felt that I was productive and made a significant impact on the work.
As I was at a regional office I was given a lot more responsibility than other students and I thrived on that.
I learned lots of valuable and transferable skills and I also gained a lot of audit knowledge.
The Company
The atmosphere was generally very work focussed but we still made time to chat and have fun at lunch.
I was always on client sites with plenty of work to do however I felt a bit lost in the transition between the business focus course and the start of my work placement. I would have liked to have been informed earlier about which client sites I would be working on.
The business focus course was a valuable training experience. The company also invested a lot to get me to client sites and provided me with my own laptop which helped me gain valuable training and development first hand as well as advice from colleagues.

I am yet to have my partner interview for a job offer but I am excited and confident about the opportunity.
The Culture
There were a lot of gatherings which were always fun.
I stayed at a client site for the majority of my internship where KPMG paid for my accomodation.
I spent little time at my base office but the nightlife seemed good. At the client site I often went out with colleagues and enjoyed myself.
There were lots of sports, drinks and meals organised which I could participate in. I feel that the company excells in that respect.
