The Role
The company is great and all the people there are great fun to be around.
I felt like an integral part of my team and really felt like i was doing something important.
Due to the relaxed environment it very easy to ask for help and support from people and they are always eager to help you.
Though there were some weeks that were really busy and others that were quite relaxed on the whole there was a good balance of work and always having something to do.
I feel like i was given a good amount of responsibility especially when my manager went on holiday and i was left to keep myself and the team organised and up to date.
Though not allot of what i did will help me with my degree i did learn various new types of software which i believe will become useful in the future.
The Company
The atmosphere at Ash was amazing. Everyone was fun and happy and loved to laugh. The birthdays and the cakes never seemed to stop.
I feel the placement was well organised. I was given timetables when i first started which helped me to keep organised and know that i needed to work on and learn during the early stages of the placement.
I didn't really ask for any personal training so i cant really make a valid comment. I do think that there were some opportunity but i didn't pick up on any of them.
Company Parties/Events
I would like to have the opportunity to go back and work with Ash Gaming full time but i have chosen not to because of personal reasons. Mainly because of London as a city itself is just not for me. But the job was great.
The Culture
There were many other placement students there. Around my age and we all had the same interests and were always with each other during breaks. We got on very well and will probably have become lifelong friends.
Being in the heart of London i did manage to live fairly comfortably but i wasn't really able to do much else.
Nightlife isn't really my thing so i didn't go out much. Only for the Christmas Party which i did thoroughly enjoy.
There were a few activities that you could get involved with from Gym, Football, Loosing Weight, Poker Nights and some others.
