The Role
I've learnt so much in the year I have been here at Samsung, with this being my first 'real' job, I can safely say I can't wait to get back working in the 'Corporate World'. I've had the ability to travel around Europe, meet plenty of new people and feel like I have been allowed to make a difference and an impact on my department.
My colleagues have been great with me from the beginning, which undoubtedly makes the job easier and more enjoyable.
I have been trusted by my managers and supervisor and this sort of trust has been translated into my work. If I ever felt like I needed help or didn't understand, someone was always willing to guide me.
It's fair to say that it totally depends on what we had coming up, for example we had a large exhibition back in March and the build-up to that was hectic, but other times it was much quieter and I had time to gain a greater insight into how Air Conditioning works and bond with my colleagues.
A lot, and this is something I'm thankful for, I wasn't here to just make up the numbers, I could make decisions and impact the day-to-day running of our department, and I was also allowed to meet high-profile customers, some of which are worth millions of pounds, so that was a very good experience for me.
Undoubtedly I have become much more motivated and I now believe that I can achieve great things thanks to my time at Samsung, purely being around people that are good at their jobs and people that have plenty of experience will help me no end towards completing my degree this coming year.
The Company
There was always somebody cracking a joke in the department, but there was also plenty of times when serious work had to be done and everyone was under pressure to complete it. All in all it is a great place to be.
Apart from a few hiccups at the start concerning my work laptop, it's been very well organised and I've enjoyed working alongside HR who have provided me with invaluable insight into the company.
I was able to travel around Europe and organise events, as well as meeting agencies and various VIP's within the company, I felt like a full-time employee here and that's my aim upon the completion of my degree, to come back!

Verbally it has been agreed, and I will maintain contact with a lot of people here, it's now up to me to go and get the best grade possible in my degree.
The Culture
We didn't quite organise as many extra-curricular activities as I would have liked, but whenever we got together it was always a great laugh.
Depending on where you go and on what day, Guildford isn't too bad, but Weybridge is a bit more expensive.
There are plenty of places to go out in the surrounding areas, Guildford is a favourite as most people live around that area, but London isn't too far away either.
I managed to join the 5-a side football mailing list and as a result I played a couple of 11-a side matches, including one game at Wycombe Wanderer's and London Wasps' stadium - Adams Park, which is something I'll never forget, especially as I scored a goal there too.
