The Role
It was very well conceived, there was a good working environment in the office, and the tasks were interesting and varied.
Everyone was immmediately very friendly and willing to help, and this endured throughout the placement.
A really comprehensive training and development programme, including regular catch-ups with managers.
Most of the time, quite busy, often with relatively urgent work. Rarely, if ever, underoccupied.
Obviously everything I did was checked by someone more senior, but I was trusted to produce a lot of communications which would ultimately filter through to the clients. As much as could be expected.
They didn't directly impact on my degree studies, but this is no criticism, I didn't expect it to. The training was good, and I am certainly more prepared to do a similar job in future.
The Company
No issues with relations between anyone in the office, and they did socialise beyond work in numerous cases.
Everything in-office was ideal, some errors with central communications did exist.
Very heavily, far more than I ever anticipated.
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
I fully intend to return next year, and would sign a contract unhesitatingly if one were to land on my doorstep.
The Culture
Yes, we have met up regularly.
Much lower than I am used to in other areas of the country.
The city is well noted for it, although it is not my main priority.
Several opportunities existed, some of which I organised for myself independently of work, some with work colleagues, and some with other interns.
