The Role
I had the best time ever. I was given loads of responsibility, I had a great team to work with, great intern cohort to have fun with, a lot of guidance and support from my Line Manager, team, buddy and HR.
The Company
We were always notified in advance when it comes to the events the team organised for us. We were also contacted by our Line Managers prior to the internship started.
We had a week of training in terms of personal branding, networking skills, MBTI testing etc. We were also given access to the intranet where you could find training materials for almost anything.
Company Parties/Events
Grad offers are up for grabs if completing an internship. The grad scheme takes 2 years and you canf do 4 rotations in any Barclays business function. A great excuse to change 4 jobs in 2 years!
The Culture
The existing grads would organise events for us where we would meet twice a week approximately. We also became good friends.
We didn't usually go out in Canary Wharf at night, but that wasn't a problem.
Barclays is very keen on giving back to society.
