The Role
Good division and rotational aspect enabled a better perspective of different teams
The downside of the rotational internship means that colleagues weren't willing to invest as much time in you
Varied, tasks were often fairly simple and on an ad-hoc basis but was included in meetings and calls about the work
I feel my understanding has developed of the product as I had ample time to read around. However, I feel I have not developed many skills which would have been useful
The Company
Generally a good atmosphere, not too much facetime - although this varied between teams on the floor
HR did a good job in organising extra events, however some more internal networking opportunities may have proved useful
The firm certainly invested in us, particuarly with enabling us to complete a rotational internship as this limited our ability to take on large amounts of work. However I feel the training we recieved was not as good as other banks.
Subsidised Canteen
Employment prospects are very appealing, I believe working here as an analyst would be an excellent place to begin my career
The Culture
There was a vibrant social scene among the interns, however social activities within my teams were rather limited - presumably as many people were on holiday
Canary wharf is expensive, however I feel this is reflected in the compensation package
Many people travelled into London to take advantage of the nightlife on offer particuarly in the west end
