The Role
Was a really enjoyable experience; challenging whilst learning a lot every day.
As an intern there is only so much you can do and so a limit to how much you can actually add value, but this can be done in a number of ways; you just have to find them!
Two different rotations; each very different with different management styles. It depends on which desks you rotate on.
Very busy every day. Even in quiet periods you can shadow other desks so it is as busy as you make it.
I sent out daily emails that were seen by clients so it that respect a fair amount but nothing deal changing as you would imagine.
I don't think the skills learnt correlate with university studies but as far as expertise in this industry goes it is clearly very, very worthwhile.
The Company
Fun mixed with very professional attitude. Clearly it is important to enjoy your job, but you are here to work.
Very organised; HR ran in very well.
We felt very valuable to the company and were very aware of how much had been invested in us.
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
I would love to work here.
The Culture
Yes there was plenty of chance to socialise and this was encouraged through a number of networking events.
Normal London prices.
Good facilities in Canary Wharf.
Other than socialising I wasn't aware of that many other than the gym and normal socialising.
