The Role
It was a great experience, however the learning curve was very steep, especially initially
You have to actively seek work and see what your team's needs are without being asked to do so
Some people are ready to sit down and explain something, while the majority have only a small amout of time. So you have to be proactive
This depends on your desk and on you. On my first rotation I had lots of time to shadow, while on my second desk I had less time due to the amount of work required from me.
As I am doing a finance degree, the things I learned during the internship are invaluable and place me beyond my peers
The Company
Everyone is quite busy and sometimes not willing to spend that much time with the interns, however this varies team by team
Subsidised Canteen
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Will find out at the end of the internship
The Culture
London is quite expensive, but the salary is good
No nightlife in canary wharf, only central london
One charity event and a couple of networking drinks
