    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • It was very enjoyable. I was thrown into the deep end, which was more beneficial than perhaps making tea and coffee for 2 weeks. It was definitely a great insight.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • Everyone I spoke to was really friendly and were very happy to help with any questions you had. There was a great atmosphere in the office which made it much more enjoyable to work there.

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • Guidance was good. We were assigned counselling managers and 'buddies' to help us with anything we needed although, I feel, as the first year to do this placement, setting our objectives could've been more important.

    4/5

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • These 2 weeks have confirmed my career choice and have motivated me to try very hard this year to secure a place on their School Leavers Programme.

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • I was out at clients and in the office and had a very true, very real experience of what it would be like to have a career at BDO. This was most helpful when considering my future with a firm like BDO.

    5/5

  • 9. How much did the insight help you in understanding the company culture?
  • The firm hold very strong values, especially 'exceptional client service' which is absolutely imperative when they are doing any pieces of work. They stick to what they promise clients and I think that is very admirable for a firm.

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?
  • BDO reimbursed all my travel expenses and I was paid adequately for the 2 weeks.
