The Role
It was hard work, but within 3 weeks I had written something that would be useful for the company, having no previous programming experience, which made it worth while.
All the employees are very friendly and welcoming!
My manager was able to spend an afternoon working through a problem with me when I was really struggling to get to grips with it.
There is always more that can be done to improve and extend the projects set.
The tool I created was going to be used by the company.
It helped me to get a better idea of what sort of a job I might enjoy after my studies.
The Company
Everyone took their work seriously and worked hard, but there were jokes too.
Both my manager and mentor spent one on one time helping me to get started.
Flexi Time
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
The Culture
There were welcome/leaving drinks every week as people joined/left placements. There was an intern pub lunch once a week, and other activities organised by keen people.
The company accommodation was very good value for money, and the welcome/leaving drinks were paid for by the company.
Lots of sporting clubs, board games and other activities. There was also a trip go-karting.
