The Role
Very friendly workplace culture, but there are differences in the people/culture between different divisions
All of my team was very helpful and encouraging to my learning
We had a few meetings about expectations, progress, etc.
Sometimes too busy and stressed, and at times there were lulls, but overall fairly busy
It's hard to delegate much outward client-facing responsiblity at the intern level, so I did more internal work to support the consultants
Not necessarily relevant to my studies, but very useful for my future career
The Company
Everyone was friendly and some outside of the office activities were organized, but not too much interaction outside of work
For a relatively new program (one year old), well structured with some clear goals. There were definitely differences in work load and responsiblity across functions and divisions for the interns.
They sponsored my Tier 5 visa, which is a heavy investment for an intern. The company constantly allowed me to participate in any client meetings or cross-functional events that I wished. They were very open to me experiencing all parts of the business.

Company Parties/Events
I am still in university, but would love to continue working at Aon.
The Culture
Some interns went out more than others after work, but we tried our best to organize intern-wide events with good participation.
London is very expensive, but there are a few happy hours in the area for after-work drinks
Lots of pubs and bars in the heart of the business area of London.
The interns organized all of the social activities on their own; there weren't too many activities organized outside of that aside from charity sponsorship events.
