The Role
Was a very enjoyable scheme, and very well structured/organised.
Depended on the colleague! But generally felt like a valued member of the team.
Manager was very supportive.
Some days very busy, some days not at all which was a shame.
Fair amount of responsibility for an intern, although not as much as I would have liked.
Very valuable 2 months, massive insight into the industy and opportunities to meet a lot of people and get plenty of advice.
The Company
My department was quite fun, but the team I was allocated was a little too quiet at times.
Very good structure, flexible but supportive.
It was more independent in term of personal development. There was a fantastic insurance training day at the beginning of the internship which was a great help. Training throughout the internship was minimal.
Company Parties/Events
There is a high percentage of interns who get offered a graduate scheme placement.
The Culture
Yes most interns were very social. The insurance industry in general is extremely social though.
London - obviously very expensive!
Very good, although expensive!
Didn't really hear of many. Would have been nice to know of company sports teams or something.
