The Role
Had an amazing experience. Absolutely loved it.
The constant feedback was very helpful and I felt like I was a valuable addition to the team.
My manager was giving me guidance and helped me developed new skills.
I had some very busy periods, but was never left without work to do.
I was given responsibilities from day one. After a couple of months I was even given responsibilities to interact directly with clients
My placement year with IBM helped me to understand the business world and what opportunities lay ahead of me. Moreover, the experience helped me to decide what career path I would like to pursue in the future.
The Company
There were a lot of placement students like me based in my office at South Bank, London. We had a great community and I met some great people, both students and non-students.
I am very happy with how the placement scheme was organised.
There are a number of online courses that IBM offers to it's employees for free and I made a great use of them.

The Culture
The social scene was very good, since there were a lot of us and a number of social events were organised.
London life style is quite expensive.
It was amazing.
I took part in a number of volunteering opportunities to give back to the community.
