The Role
There were times when there was little work to do, but it was thoroughly enjoyable whenever there were big projects going on
The whole team was really friendly and made me feel like everything i did was of real value to them
Regular meetings, despite the fact that my line manager was regularly out of the country, and much support
Sometimes was too quiet, depended on the work flow
Lots of responsibility for big projects and the chance to meet with and work for very senior people within the bank
Learnt many work life skills as well as being taught much specific Corporate banking knowledge
The Company
Very friendly with all the facilities needed.
The organisation of the internship before it began was not good, with the graduate recruiters being very unorganised. However, after the internship began organisation was great
Multiple training modules to complete, self assessments, assessment meetings. A lot of time was devoted to personal development and training
Subsidised Canteen
I would be delighted to work for the bank
The Culture
It is difficult as interns are based all around the country so harder to meet up. Within the area I was in there were many intern meet ups. Meet up events were not, however, really organised by the bank
Expensive as in London but a location allowance is given. The salary is more than enough to get by
Great night life when you get the time to go out. It is, however, completely dependent on where you are placed in the UK
Charity projects and volunteering
