The Role
The intership was really enjoyable and gave me a great range of work, from mechanical, to process engineering and project management.
They make you feel welcome and offer support whenever needed - a great place to work!
They offer you various support systems, including a buddy who's a graduate (so closer to your age) and you're manager will always be on hand to offer support
Depending on the work, it was time intensive but still very enjoyable!
I was given a level of control over the project management systems in the office and that offered a great deal of responsibility for a student.
This is my second placement and the skills I use at uni have been utilised and I have had the chance to learn some new skills while here.
The Company
They office has some good "banter" and there has been several fun events and activities while I've been here!
The placement was well organised but I ran out of work halfway through and had to look for work. Then I was overloaded. So its finding the right balance.
The company has invested a significant amount in my training and development attesting to the conferences and courses I've attended.
Flexi Time
Subsidised/Company Gym
National Travel
Company Parties/Events
Working from home
Healthcare from home
The company is busy and innovative. This generates some really interesting work that I would like to be apart of.
The Culture
There is a great social scene and even though we're students they are keen to get us involved with the graduate community.
Aberdeen is expensive because oil and gas itself is very busy. I would look at accommodation early! And the social scene? It has everything you need!
The night life for me is good fun, its a good night out!
The sports and team events allow you to get involved with activities outside of work!
