The Role
Find it very repetitive, however the company and people that i work with make the day more enjoyable.
I can personally consider my job to be of little importance to the sucess of the business, however some of the work i do is valued by other employees
The management are always there to help you out if you need assistance. Very considerate people to work for.
I always have work that i could be doing, but never any work that is urgent
I am given a relativly responsible job, however as i feel the job adds little benefit to the company i feel this takes away a certain level of responsibility
I have gained a hell of a lot of skills with regards to IT, however although this will be great use in the future, it will provide me with little assistance within the final year of university.
The Company
The section i work in, has a few students so the atmsphere is always quite upbeat, but remains professional
The induction and teaching of the role was all done without any problems and was a helpful start to the placement.
Although the induction was in depth, this was only so i could do my daily tasks, i have not been asked to go on any training days or similar activities.
Flexi Time
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Quite limit as Fujitsu-siemens offers no under-graduate jobs. However if you impress enough then i am sure you would get a job after graduation
The Culture
Weekly nights out, a total of 30 students so plenty of people to make freinds with.
Quite expensive, but most places are these days
Personally i think the local town of Reading has a dreadful nightlife, but then i go to uni at bournemouth with ops nights out every day of the week.
A few days were offered, also i was lucky enough to go to germany for 4 days, which was fantastic
