The Role
Really enjoyed my time at Atkins. It was great to have the opportunity to work on real projects.
Felt welcomed and comfortable approaching anyone with questions or queries.
Supervisors regularly willing to give support and guidance.
Generally I was kept busy; however, there were occasions when there was little work to be done.
As my time at Atkins progressed I was given greater responsibilities.
Hugely beneficial. Used many of the design techniques, especially the design software, hich are required by engineers on a daily basis.
The Company
Generally, a serious atmosphere mainly due to upcoming deadlines.
Well organized with projects already established prior to arrival and.
Nothing significant but aided in developing various skills.
Subsidised Canteen
This was my 2nd internship with Atkins and I have been invited back for an additional placement.
The Culture
Several other placement students giving great opportunities to exchange experiences at lunch.
The office was in London so fairly expensive but that was expected.
Didn't make any attempt to investigate nightlife but the office was in london so Im sure there would be plenty of opportunities.
Mainly opportunities for graduates working full time.
