The Role
I really enjoyed my internship. This is because no day was the same. I was continually faced with new challenges and opportunities to meet new people and learn about the different aspects of the business.
My collegues were extremely supportive, helpful and friendly. From day one I was made to feel one of the team and was often asked to give my opinion on various things. They also would always reiterate to me how thankful they were for any work I did for them.
My supervisor was very approachable and supportive. Although they were very busy, they made the effort to sit down with me and discuss my progress whenever I asked.
I was kept very busy. I was given alot of work to do but I also arranged meetings and insight sessions to advance my learning and development.
I was given some consistent responsibilities to take over.
The internship developed my relationship skills, my communication skills and my business knowledge
The Company
There was a friendly atmosphere in the office. People were constantly helping each other out with all the new processes and changes that were taking place as a result of new regulation.
The overall internship was extremely organised. We had an initial week of training and various insight sessions and networking events organised for us during the time we were there. In addition, the deadlines by which we had to deliver presentations were clearly communicated at the start.
We had various personal training and development organised for us but alot of it was left to ourself to do. To some extent, this was better as it forced us to be confident and take initative.
Company Parties/Events
Very appealing! The organisation is not only dynamic and innovative but is one that invests in its graduates and juniour staff. A great place to work!
The Culture
Yes, the interns would frequently meet for lunch and get to together after work.
