The Role
Very exciting to be in such a challenging vast moving new environment. The two six month placements were on two different areas of the industry,i.e. on in the technical departement and on in production, and it was interesting to get a taste of both areas.
Difficult to rate this as the experience from the two placements was very different.
The managers were very supportive, understanding and pushing to get the most out of me.
Samworth Brothers will support you but is up to you to make the most out of your job. Especially while working on the technical departement I found they were very supportive of new ideas and challenging the status quo
The company tries hard to give a real position, so your contributuin is valuable.
Very important addition to the CV, to understand the food industry and to better identify your strength and weaknesses.
The Company
Always very busy
Above 25 days holiday
I believe one of their strengths is that they really care about their employers and they will work hard to challenge and push you to reach the best of your potential.
The Culture
Leicester is generally quiet cheap to live.
Not really applicable to me so I wouldn't be able to judge.
