The Role
The placement was very fast paced.
Staffs were all friendly. But you were sometimes seen as the person to do the job they didn’t want to.
Managers were always willing to help, but you did have to ask for it.
Very busy, but meant you received actual work!
Worked directly with customers and suppliers, and was trusted to make decisions on my own.
You can never learn to much about MS Excel !
The Company
Everyone in the office was busy!
The placement was well structured (where you would work, two 6 months rotations). But the work you would do within that role, often wasn’t. However part of this was due to needs changing.
If you needed it to do your job, you got it! If you just wanted to do it...you asked the right person nicely.
My current grad scheme has been temporarily suspended.
The Culture
Very interactive bunch.
Accommodation is much less and much nicer than at Uni. Price of a pint is not student friendly!
There was nightlife.....it was interesting to say the least!
Limited opportunities that came about through work.
