  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • A very steep learning curve, but a great challenge.

  • I was made to feel welcome and part of the team immediately.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • The support and guidance was excellent. Rather than being told what to do, I was allowed to think for myself and develop core engineering and communication skills.

  • The balance was good. The nature of the work meant that there were occasions when the workload was reduced.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was given a reasonable amount of responsibility. I had a real input into the day to day tasks and was responsible for the work I submitted.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • The "real life" skills I have learnt will translate well to a university environment and assist me in my degree studies.

  • A very good atmosphere - everyone was positive, polite and helpful.

  • A very well run placement. The company has a buddy system which gave me an alternative point of contact to my lead engineer or line manager.

  • I undertook no formal training, but it was on offer if required. I felt that I was developing skills through day to day experience in the job.
