The Role
I really enjoyed it.
I felt truly valued, everyone was so welcoming, I was even invited to a national football tournament even though I was only in the office for 6 weeks.
I was given constant support by all my colleagues. Even managers always had time for my questions.
This was varied, I was busy for the first two weeks and the last two weeks, as jobs I had for the middle weeks. But I could get more work by asking managers.
A surprisely amount. I was given responsibilty for whole sections of the audit.
The skills I learnt won't really contribute to my degree.
The Company
Best office ever! Everyone was so friendly and likeable.
Well structure from online application to the final day.
We had a training week in Birmingham.
National Travel
Company Parties/Events
Can really see myself working at BDO after graduation.
The Culture
Great social scene. All the interns were taken to a pub quiz and a comedy club in Birmingham. And we were taken out on a private boat on the Thames in London during our final wrap up
Not as expensive as London, but still not cheap.
N/A - didn't go out in the local area over my placement.
There was a good amount of opportunities. Including pub quizzes and lunches, the football tournament.
