The Role
There were highs and lows of the internship. As it was a quiet season for audit there wasn't much work available in the office. However, when on site with a client there was lots to do which makes it enjoyable.
Everyone in the office and the teams I worked with was really lovely and friendly! They made me feel so welcome and were happy to answer questions I had.
At times I felt I was thrown into the deep end but I did have lots of support and help from my buddy and the team I was working with.
Varied considerably. Some days there was lots of work to do.. other days there wasn't. However, I found that I got through the work quite quickly.
I was given a lot of responsibility for certain sections of the audit which was great because it felt t
I feel more motivated for my final year of study at university.
The Company
The office was very socialable and nice. However, there were periods when the office was really quiet and most people weren't in.
HR did a great job organising things for the interns in the first and final week. I also had great exposure to a range of clients.
We had a weeks worth of training. Some areas were valuable and important to the internship but some areas were slightly tedious and repetitive. Less attention was giving to areas which were possibly of more importance.
National Travel
Prospects with the organisation are extremely appealing but the profession itself is something I am now no longer sure about.
The Culture
Social scene was OK.
I lived at home so it wasn't too expensive.
I can't rate this as I didn't go out in the area.
Yeah there were opportunities to take part in charity fundraising which was great.
