The Role
I thoroughly enjoyed my time and it has reaffirmed that I would like to work in accountancy.
I felt very valued as there was always work with a reasonable amount of responsibility for me to do.
Whenever I needed help people were always quick to offer.
There was always more work ready for me but I never felt like I was under too much pressure.
I was given plenty of responsibility without being thrown in at the deep end too early on.
I feel that my time at BDO has given me a good insight into what the job would be like in future.
The Company
The office was quiet at times but this is the nature of an accountancy firm, there was nevertheless an excellent and very friendly atmosphere.
The firm invested a lot in myself and other interns in terms of training, additional perks eg nights out for all interns and making us feel welcome.

Company Parties/Events
The Culture
There was a very good atmosphere between all of the interns and there was plenty of opportunities to socialise.
Working in London/Gatwick is inevitably expensive but wages are adjusted nationwide accordingly.
There are monthly first Friday drinks subsidised for the company and I went on the national BDO football tournament during my internship.
