The Role
Really enjoyed it, everyone in the office made me feel at home and valued. I was also given a lot of responsibility which is important.
I was always invited for social events and included as part of the tax team.
I usually worked with the trainees, who guided me though most of the internship. I was assigned to a counselling manager, however most of my work was alongside trainees.
Some days were very busy and others not so. It depends what jobs are coming in and what are suitable for an intern to do.
Worked with clients and got to attend meetings.
Beyond university it is going to be very useful, as I have a good understanding of how the business works and what tax is about
The Company
Everyone was very friendly, which makes is a great working atmosphere. There are always people willing to help as well.
Organised very well with a training week in Birmingham and final week ended in London. There were social and CSR events which made it a very enjoyable experience. There were plenty of opportunities to get to know the other interns around different offices.
A lot of thought was put in to the training week, and everything was very well organised so that we had an idea of what to expect before we started work in our offices.
Company Parties/Events
Would love the opportunity to work in a full time graduate role.
The Culture
Great social scene when interns were all together. Planned socials also took place, as well as the national football tournament.
Fairy expensive as it was in the South East.
Didn't really get a chance to experience it much
There was the BDO national football tournament and CSR day. There was also an opportunity to go to quizzes and social drinks on a friday.
