The Role
I thoroughly enjoyed my internship. My internship has allowed me to experience the daily work conducted in a HSBC commercial centre. The team members were are all hard workers who find time to socialise together and there is a real team spirit within the office which benefits and brings the best out of everyone.
From my first day I was made to feel extremely welcome and part of the team. Everyone seemed to have time for me and if I ever required anything, someone was available to help. This was extremely helpful, as I have heard about and spent time at other organisations where help is not readily available and you are made to feel like a burden rather than a team member on your internship.
I would like to thank all the members of the commercial centre for being very helpful and providing me with an enjoyable 7 weeks (it has gone way too quickly). Everyone including my line manager was available for support and guidance on a daily basis.
I was given tasks to complete by different memebers of the commercial centre, so I found I always had tasks to complete. You are given a guideline booklet that suggests possible tasks to complete whilst on your internship, however your line manager and centre can get you involved with other pieces of work which could be more value adding for the particular centre.
