The Role
Often little work to do, and wasn't pushed in any way.
Often used as a junior resource, but buddy system meant that my queries were swiftly answered.
A partner specially organised my rotation in Corporate Finance.
Often had very little work to do, but this varied from job to job.
Often had very little work to do, but this varied from job to job. On some jobs I held one-on-one client meetings, whilst on others I was left to do filing.
Presentational skills and confidence to address colleagues has been helpful, but other than that the work was not challenging so little benefit has been derived.
The Company
Pleasant if a little quiet. Sports teams helped!
Fairly well, though some managers seemed unwilling to have interns and didn't offer much work.
There was an away weekend at a hotel in Warwickshire with team building exercises, and a some internal training in the office.
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Company Parties/Events
I have taken a job elsewhere in a different sector. The work itself was dull, although the company was impressive and the people pleasant.
The Culture
We had to organise most of this ourselves, but the other interns were fun and interesting!
An expensive place to live, but good travel links so possible to commute.
Nightlife?
I played in the office football team
