The Role
The internship was very enjoyable from the first week of training in Birmingham to the last couple of days in London.
Everyone was friendly and more than happy to assist with any queries.
I had weekly meetings with my manager to see how I was getting on and also so i could raise any queries if I had any.
There was plenty of work to get on with.
From day one I was working on real work and projects! Although this was a lot of responsibility my fellow colleagues were always there to offer assistance and support.
The skills I have developed range from technical training to soft skills such as networking and presenting.
The Company
The general atmosphere was very friendly and everyone was willing to offer support when required.
The internship was very well planned and structured. There was never a moment where I was unsure of what was required of me.
The first week included training on soft skills such as presenting in addition to the necessary technical tax training.
Company Parties/Events
I received a graduate job offer shortly after completing the internship.
The Culture
Everyone bonded during the weeks training and it was good to catch up with everyone at the end of the six weeks to here about their different experiences.
I didn't have to relocate as the office where I was based was near to my current location.
The nightlife in Glasgow is very good with things to do every night of the week.
There were some activities on offer outside of the workplace. For example on the last week we all got to take part in a corporate social responsibly day.
