The Role
Good level of tasks.
Everyone is very nice, the company culture is definitely one of the key benifits with GSK.
Great support and motivation. However, the department was going through a re-organisation at the time of my internship. Hardly anyone's fault, but it did have an effect. Still, considering that, I think my managers did very well!
This varied alot, sometimes I had very little to do and sometimes the day had way too few hours. I think it ties in with the responsibility level you recieve/accept (see below).
The level of responsibility you get is very much decided by the interest/motivation you show.
I have learned essential business skills and gotten one step closer in figuring out what I want to do in the future.
The Company
The departmenet I worked in was quite coporate, but the office and building itself is buzzing with life!
The internship has been running for years and has a very well established curriculum.
When taking on initiative, I was allowed and encouraged to take training courses and some online training was mandatory to do as a first starter.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
GSK is truly a fantastic company, I would love to come back here.
The Culture
Lunches and after works drink. The social/work balance was managed very well.
London is unfortunately very expensive.
But has an awesome night life (if you can afford it)!
Several sports clubs and socialising events were held during my internship.
