The Role
During my internship I spent a couple of weeks on an 'away' job, practically living with my colleagues which was a great laugh and really integrates you into the team.
My line manager was really friendly and helpful, I could discuss problems with him really easily.
Day to day the amount of work which I had to do was just right, being slightly challenged at points, but also having some quieter days.
I was given the responsibility for several sections of the audit file, having to manage my time and communicate with the clients to complete the work.
The experience at Bradenham Manor (national training centre for Grant Thornton) was fantastic.
The Company
During my 6 weeks I spent just over 2 weeks in the office, and although at points it was quiet, but it always had a friendly atmosphere.
The application process and communication before the internship started was very good. During the internship there were a couple of days where there wasn't as such anything planed for me to do, although people did find me things it wasn't as constructive.
I attended a one-to-one coaching session at Bradenham Manor (national training centre for Grant Thornton) where I leant presentation and public speaking skills which was very useful and a lifelong skill.

The Culture
We did two things after work during my internship, although there were just spur of the moment.
Bristol isn't the cheapest of cities, but it's a nice place with lots of different things to do and see.
Having grown up in Bristol, there are loads of places to go out.
