The Role
Really enjoyed it. It made me definately want to work for them in the future.
I found everyone at Amex willing to help and give up some of their own time ot support you, even people that were not in my direct team.
The workload tends to vary from day/week to day/week. Working in Finance you tend to find the beginning of the month and end of month a bit busier.
It was encouraged from early one to take ownership of certain tasks/activitets so that in the future they would be my responsibility and I would have something to put my name to..
The Company
Really nice atmospher and culture in the office, good balance between working hard but also enjoying yourself in the work you do and enjoying the people you work with.
There is structure to the placement/internship that they set out to you on your first day during your induction.

Company Parties/Events
Working from home
You meet many senior people who also started at Amex as an intern or placement student and are still there 10/20 years later, having moved between many different roles and locations.
The Culture
We had a really good programme of events with other interns and graduates to get to know them in a social setting. Also had some events with your specific team/colleagues.
Brighton is great for going out and socialising in the evenings. Lots of bars and resturants.
