The Role
I have learnt a great deal from the outset doing interesting training that I really enjoyed, and then before long I was working on real problems that again were very interesting.
I have felt valued as a part of the team by my colleagues. Good stuff.
Initially I was given brilliant training, and support was always available when I needed it. With just the right levels of independence.
I always had work to do, but never felt buried by deadlines. Spot on.
I feel I was given quite a lot of responsibility, but not so much that I was constantly terrified of messing up. There are good safety systems in place to prevent messing up anyway.
I get the impression the conventions and principles everyone was using were pretty much cutting edge and the technical skills developed will always be useful in our increasingly digital age.
The Company
Quiet and productive mostly, with the occasional joke. Can't complain.
A lot of work was clearly put in to organising the central company wide elements, and as far as everyday stuff in the office went, things were pretty much taken as they came and it was all pretty seamless.
As already mentioned. I feel I had really good training initially and then ongoing for the while time after I started on proper work.
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
Thoroughly enjoyed my time there and could see me doing something alike in the future.
The Culture
The group of interns gelled really well and did quite a lot of things outside of office hours like cinema trips and evening meals out.
Reigate is a very expensive town, but lovely place. And living costs were not an issue because the company subsidised them.
One club, didn't go but I hear it's not bad. Pubs are nice but expensive.
Yes lots, was plenty going on but might be quite dependent on the intake.
