The Role
I really enjoyed the experience of a real life working enironment as that cant be thought.
My job wasn't risky but the reports helped my collegues get their work done and know their schedule for the day/up coming days.
Everybody was very friendly and willing to help with any problems or queries i had.
Everyday i was very busy. I had my work to do and then would help out other team members. Sometimes I did overtime aswell as our department was very busy but that wasn't really necessary for me to do all the time.
I couldn't be authorised to make payments as my placement was on 10 weeks but i did have a good bit of responsibility to get the reports out on time so that the rest of the team had the necessary information to do there work and get it done on time. I had to make sure the the reports were pulled correctly and quickly which kept me very busy.
I think the skills and lessons i have learned here will definately stand to me for future work and when i go back to college. I am more focused now when it comes to doing my work and i like to get it done but to a high standard, paying attention to the smallest of details. I have learned a lot about the working environment and the ways to act and not to act. All of which can't be thought in a classroom.
The Company
The atmosphere was very friendly and helpful. We all got on. It was easy to have a laugh but also get the job done.
The organisation of my work experience was really good. We had a graduate recruiter who looked after any problems we had but also set up meetings with head people here in citi to talk to us about there experiences abut to also ask them questions and gather loads of information from them. My computer, desk and all my systems were set up within the first 2 weeks which was fantatsic.
I feel the company invested a lot of time in that as we could get in touch with anyone from citi to talk to them about what they have done and ask questions we had ourselves. I feel that this was invaluable to helping me decide what i want to do and to gain knowledge and insight from people who have done so well and worked their way up the ranks. It gave me great hope and excitment to start my career and figure out what path i want to take, all of which i didn't have before i started this internship.

When here we were told of more placements that were available, names of people to get in touvh with and the information about job openings here. Everyone is so nice and helpful it makes you want to come back and avail of all the great offers Citi has.
The Culture
There was a great social scene among the interns but also in my deparment. Citi also has a lot of clubs and social events that you can go to.
Quiet expensive but especially for me as i lived outside of Dublin and was expensive to travel in and out when socialising on top of your night out.
Great Night Life!
There was endless opportunities. Citi encourages you to do as many as possible.
