The Role
It was interesting and challenging work.
I got along very well with my colleagues and they were very supportive when I was preparing my final presentation.
My manager gave very detailed and helpful feedback when I asked him for it, although I would have liked it on a more frequent basis.
I always had tasks to complete on my project, occaisonally I felt like I could have taken on more work but overall. I was kept busy.
One really good thing about the internship is that I was given real meaningful projects that affected other people on the team, I wasn't just doing admin etc.
I got useful project and time management skills.
The Company
It's a nice, relaxed environment and my team were friendly which contributed to a positive atmospher.
We regularly had events such as speaker series and socials all of which well organised and enjoyable. My only criticism would be that it was difficult to contact people in the run up to the internship.
The internship gives you valuable experiences and they are really keen to give you time with higher up including VPs.
Subsidised Canteen
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
They give you a decision on whether or not you have a job on the last day of the internship and give many opportunities to show off your talents to senior management.
The Culture
The internship organised social events, and we supplemented it with regular nights out. My team also had a night out which was very enjoyable.
It's Brighton, so it's not as bad as London but the prices aren't going to be cheap as in the North etc.
Brighton has a very good nightlife.
We got an opportunity to work within the graduate network to organise a big social for the alumni.
