About You
The day was good for networking with other students although we did not have a chance to network with employees (only HR representatives). We also had a panel of current graduates who were happy to answer our questions. The information provided to us was mostly the same as on the bank's web site. The most enjoyable activities were group game and group exercise.
Expenses were covered for up to £35 and we had free sandwiches for the lunch, followed by free coffee and biscuits. Would feel more valued if received a 'welcome pack' with brochures and CDs.
During the networking lunch there was an opportunity to ask HR any questions and all of them were answered really well.
Mostly the information provided is the same as on the bank's web site. Some useful tips were given although hidden secrets were not shared. Tips discussed on the day can be found at any university career centre, they were high-level and general, quite common sense hints. Although, the insight would be beneficial for 1st year students. After attending I did not learn anything new about filling the application or the assessment process of the bank as everything is written on their web site. However, I have understood organisation's culture and structure much better, which was my main objective for the day.
The Company
Agenda was provided in the morning and followed well during the whole day.
I have enjoyed playing the banking game and we also had a chance to do a group exercise, which was interesting.

We had an opportunity to network with current graduates during the lunch and ask them more questions during the afternoon panel. It helped to know more about what they do daily.
Conversations with graduates answered a lot of questions and provided with a great insight into organisation's culture.
Really helpful. Bank's structure was explained to us in all details. We were also told about what every division is responsible for and which require economics degree less than others.
Everything Else
up to £35
Not really. We have seen 2 representatives from HR and had 2 presentations from current employees but we had little opportunity to network.
We had a good opportunity to network with current graduates and other attenders but not current employees.

Highly recommended for college and 1st year students
