The Role
Great experience of what it feels like to work at one of the biggest financial institutions in the world. If you're willing to learn then you can pick up so much in the 10 weeks.
Colleagues made me feel like one of the team, integrated into the team immediately and given responsibilities like everyone else.
I was immediately taken under the wing of my manager and had alot of advice and guidance given to me by varying senior members of management. Felt like they had a genuine interest in making sure that I had a successful internship.
Relatively busy, but you would be required to ask for extra work to do, which I believe is an important key aspect to learn.
A relatively high level of responsibility. Obviously there were certain aspects of my work that would need to be ran by more senior members of the team, but I was very much left to my own devices to perform my work and finish my projects.
The training I recieved got my up to scratch and able to deal with alot of the usual issues that other colleagues were capable of solving.
The Company
Good atmosphere, occasionally somes jokes and banter, but still very professional and friendly.
Quite well organised. HR constantly organised events to attend and my manager seemed to always have some work available for me to do.
They invested quite alot.
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Healthcare from home
Very appealing. Company looks like its expanding and there seems to be alot of growth in it.
The Culture
Yes, but you had to make the effort to socialise and join the social circles where nights out were organised.
Very expensive, but thats to be expected when working in the financial district of london.
Good bars but after work hours on fridays, but very quiet on the weekend.
If you looked for activities, then yes. I was involved in the football.
