The Role
The work was interesting, everyone was welcoming, and a good social scene to come back to. I was working in the Aerospace department which has many interesting projects active.
They would trust the standard of my work and treat me like I worked full-time.
My manager was clear on what I would be working on and was willing to help if I need it or find someone who can help.
There was plenty of work that needed to be done on the project, I just needed to let people when I was ready to move on.
I was allowed to produce work which should also be done by my peers, so they gave me as much responsibilty as a normal employee.
Some of my work included using CAD software, this gave me a bit more of an insight into ways you can produce models etc.
The Company
Everyone was chatty and friendly.
Everyone was prepared for me to be joining, so there were no real hiccups.
I was not given any 'formal' training but I certainly gained experience with the programs they use.
Flexi Time
Sports and Social Club
Company Parties/Events
They would be a very attractive company to work for, and they are every keen to employ graduates.
The Culture
Yes, we met up regularly for drinks in the evenings.
Standard Bristol prices, so not expensive, and not cheap either.
Bristol nightlife is brilliant, always somewhere to go.
There was a summer party and severaly sports events for Atkins employees.
