The Role
I have truly enjoyed my internship at Rolls-Royce. I was given the chance to work on real life projects and make a contribution to the business units I was allocated to.
My colleagues made me feel as important as any other employee and have given me all the support I needed in order to succeed.
The support given my by colleagues and manager has been much appreciated by me. I was provided with the right training at the right time.
I belive there was a perfect balance in terms of work load. My team an I could always find tasks to keep me busy on a daily basis without making me feel I was overloaded with tasks.
Resposibility comes with time and knowledge. As I grew in confidence I realised the resposibility I was given was gradually growing. I appreciated all the support and my superiors' faith in me has definitely helped me grow in terms of my career.
This internship has allowed me to discover a complex industry and has certainly helped me develop upon my technical and social skills. It was an enriching experience and will contribute significantly towards my degree studies and to the industries I will be working for in the future.
The Company
The atmoshpere in the office was very pleasant but given the fact that it was in a manufacturing environment it has become a little bit stresfull at one point. Bearing in mind that our ultimate goal was to deliver excellence to all our customers, things can and will go wrong in any workplace when materials are delayed or machines are broken...
My internship was well organised from day one until my very last day in the company.
Rolls-Royce's core belief is that people are power and I noticed this myself through the manadtory and optional training options I had access to. The training modules were meant to develop and improve various skills, enhances flexibility and motivation.

Rolls-Royce is a great company to work for. I now share their beliefs and I truly wish to stay with the company after graduation.
The Culture
The social life was great. Everyone was friendly and willing to make my internship very pleasant and hard to forget. I have stayed in touch with many people I got to know over the year spent within the company.
The cost of living and socialising was acceptable.
The nightlife was great, close to a student area.
There were activities outside of work, but in other cities that required me to commute.
