The Role
We were given freedom to explore all areas of the bank and our management teams were very supportive of anything we wanted to see
This varied depending on the importance of the work. As you'd expect, for more important or urgent tasks the responsibility I was given varied
The people were genuinely a pleasure to work with
This was the most problematic element; you are expected to be in the office for a decent amount of time but it was sometimes difficult if not enough work was set.
I was lucky to work on 3 projects which were of high importance to my teams
The skills you learn on excel are invaluable, along with networking skills
The Company
There is a lot of positivity around UBS at the moment which made work more enjoyable, but this varies from team to team and from division to division
This depended on your team; some people were more willing than others to give up time to help you improve and develop your skills
Company Parties/Events
Healthcare from home
The Culture
Some of the interns arranged football on a regular basis which was a good way to get to know people
