The Role
It was a fantantastic opportunity and really has open up doors for my future career.
All of the colleagues on my team were very helpful and took time out to help me when i needed guidance or adivce.
Some of the time my manager did not give me clear guidelines to work with, I would send my work to be review and I did not get it back quick enough or in some cases at all. This really held my project up.
I had my main project to do during my time on the internship as well as other work to make sure I always had work to do. It was a great balance and I was never bored.
i was very surprised at how much responsibility i was given during my time on the internship.
All the work I did during the time I was on my internship was all very relevant to my degree course.
The Company
The office i was in was very quite. It was good because i could get on with my work but on the down side somethimes it was a little dull and boring. On the plus side there was always cakes and biscuits!
My first day was not organised very well. I though i was gonig to the office but i had a phone call the night before telling me i needed to be somewhere else.
The personal training and development was very good. I was able to work and develop skills that were not relevant for my project and spend a couple of days with different people in other areas of the business.
Company Parties/Events
I gave a presentation at the end of my internship which will hopefully be the deciding factor as to whether or not i recieve a job. The opportunities here are great.
The Culture
All of the interns planned social events after work which was very good. Everyone on the internship was included and you could go along if you wanted to.
the cost of living and socialising was expensive.
The nightlife was much better than the nightlife back home so for me it was very good.
Some of the activities planned by our team would get cancelled at the last minute due to number but when they did go ahead they were very good.
